Step 2 Contact us Give us a call or email us to set up a Consultation Appointment. The initial Consultation is Free of Charge, but you should be aware that we do not design for free. You should set up the appointment during a time when all decision makers in your household can be present. Please be aware that we cannot give estimates over the phone, as it is necessary to look at the site and come up with a plan first.
Step 3 Initial Design Consultation The consultation meeting is a time when you can ask questions and get ideas. The landscape designer can provide verbal approximations of what your project might cost and will be able to give the exact cost upon completing a landscape design/plan.
What you should bring: It is necessary for all decision-makers of the household to be present at this meeting. You should have a good idea of your budget and if at all possible, it will save time if you have a map of your property at this meeting (these can be obtained from the Court House). You should also have in mind how elaborate of a design/plan you would like us to create for you; this can be as simple as a quick sketch to a digital illustration or even a full scaled blue print.
What the Designer will bring: The Landscape Designer will bring many books of landscaping designs for inspiration as well as product catalogs and our own COMPANY PORTFOLIO. He will also give you a list of references that you may contact if that is your wish. The designer will take measurements and pictures while on site which he will use to come up with a plan.
Upon agreement of how elaborate a design/plan you would like us to create for you, the Landscape Designer can estimate how many hours your plan may take to develop and can inform you of his hourly rate. Since the designer charges an hourly rate, you can make as many changes to his plan as you wish. If this sounds reasonable to you and you want to move on to the next step, you must then put a deposit down on the design. The deposit is 30% down at signing the design agreement and must be received before any further work is performed for your job. Design fees can range anywhere from $90 up to $900 depending on the complexity of the plan.
At this point, you have not signed a contract to complete the job with us-you are only under an obligation to pay for the design and plan.
Step 4 Design Presentation Once the Landscape Designer has worked up your plans, he will be ready to meet with you again. Again, all decision-makers of your household should be present at this meeting as well. You may review the design, plans, and estimate and make changes if you wish. If you accept the plans/design “As-Is”, the final payment on the design is then due and we can move forward with the installation of your project.
In order to put your job on the installation schedule and order materials, we must have a signed contract with a (30% + special order materials) deposit. After 3 days from the date on your signed contract we can order your materials and get started as scheduled.
Step 5
Installation
You are not required to be home during any part of the installation. Please feel free to make minor changes once you see things going together as long it will not require any additional labor or materials (ie moving a plant 2 feet to the left before it is planted…etc). Any changes that require additional labor and/or materials will require a change-order.
Step 6 Final Inspection/Payment
Once your project has been completed we encourage you to inspect all aspects of it to be sure you are satisfied with the overall job installation, materials used, and cleanup. Please voice your concerns at this time. Upon completion of the job, we expect payment in full.
Step 7 Maintenance
We offer many maintenance plans if you wish to have us properly take care of your new investment.
You must take special care to water your plants. If you have trouble with any of the new plantings (unless it is lack of water), we will guarantee to replace them within (1) year of the installation. You must voice your concern as soon as you see an issue arising so we can first try and bring it back to health early on. Some plantings will go into shock if transplanted and may or may not recover. We want you to be happy with our work, so we will do all things reasonable to make sure your landscaping looks its best.
Step 8 Referrals and an On-Going Relationship.
If you are satisfied with our work for you, please tell your neighbors and friends about your experience with us. You can be confident that we are a strong company that is going to be around this area for a long time. Feel free to contact us any time with any new projects or maintenance that you would like us to look at. We enjoy developing long-term relationships with our customers and look forward to making you happy!
